The third edition of the UniCredit Ladies German Open culminated in a thrilling final day on the green. Laura Davies will embark on her trip home from Golfpark Gut Häusern on the outskirts of Munich in sporty style: for her victory in the tournament which is endowed with 330,000 euros of prize money, she received a red A5 Cabriolet from the event’s presenting sponsor and vehicle partner, Audi.

118 professional female golfers had been playing for victory in the German round of the Ladies European Tour (LET). The field featured high-caliber players: eight golfers from the top ten in the prize money ranking were guests in Bavaria, including the six first-placed players. Germany was represented with a strong line-up as well: in addition to Caroline Masson, the tournament’s ambassador, Martina Eberl, and Anja Monke, Elisabeth Esterl, Bettina Hauert and Denise Charlotte Becker played in the event. The best representative of the German colors was Caroline Masson (Gladbeck) in 14th place.

Laura Davies (England) left the facility on the outskirts of Munich as the winner, albeit not in a taxi heading toward the airport but in a new Audi A5 Cabriolet, which the presenting sponsor and vehicle partner, Audi, provided as an additional prize alongside the record prize money in the amount of 330,000 euros. Bastian Kaltofen, Head of Trade Fairs, Events and Sport Marketing of AUDI AG, presented the car to its new owner in the afternoon.

Audi partnered with the most important German ladies tournament for as much as the third time. In addition to providing the winner’s prize, Audi equipped the entire vehicle fleet for the Ladies German Open, made Audi A3 Cabriolets available to ten selected lady golfers for the duration of the tournament, donated an Audi R8 Spyder as a hole-in-one prize and presented itself with the Four Rings as well as with articles and vehicles alongside the green.
